ARCHEOLOGY

In Sardinia, there are innumerable traces of ancient megalithic cultures: dolmen, narrow hall tombs and other megalithic pre-Nuraghic formations, offer a picture of the megalithic cultures. But this left the most significant monuments in the form of closely spaced groups of menhirs placed in blocks.
The Menhirs stones were probably connected to a religion of agricultural fecundity or a religion of veneration of ancestors. They are dated to the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods.
Area sacra & Menhir di Sa Perdalonga are situated less than 600 metres from our farmhouse.

PLACES TO VISIT

In the summertime, the towns nearby (Tortolì, Arbatax, Santa Maria Navarrese, Bari Sardo) organise festivals with traditional food and dances and also different events (sports, music, art exhibitions, readings).
